Here's a mesmerizing approach to photorgaph the statues at the Bee Gees Way in Redcliffe of which Barry unveiled the Stage II last September.

This unique photo was taken by Tim Roxborogh, known Beegeeologist and journalist from New Zealand.  He kindly permitted us to share with you here the photo he originally posted on Instagram.

Taiwanese film "First of May" will be released in Japan later this month

"First of May" (2015 film) trailer

The best known cinematic association of "First of May" is with the famous cemetery scene from the 1971 film "Melody."  More than 40 years later, the song has inspired yet another tender love story, a Taiwanese romance film which is aptly called "First of May."

A new book about the Bee Gees is coming out this fall!

A new book about the Bee Gees is coming out this fall.  "The Fabulous Bee Gees: The Australian Years" will be published in September to commemorate the 50th anniversary of their great Australian hit 'Spicks & Specks.'

The co-authors, Andrew Môn Hughes and Mark Crohan, who were also among the team of experts that brought out "The Tales of the Brothers Gibb," the most detailed account on the Bee Gees to date, spent ten long years researching and writing this great forthcoming book.

Barry Gibb has NOT been booked to join Coldplay at Glastonbury

The Barry-Glastonbury story resurfaced...
this time in connection with Coldplay

Various British papers reported the "rumour" that Barry Gibb might be set to join Coldplay to do a Bee Gees medley at Glastonbury.  (According to Barry's mamagement, this is not confirmed.)

As reported before, there was a rumour that Barry might be playing at the legend slot of Glastonbury this year.  The story resurfaced again; this time Barry could be joining Coldplay on the Center Stage of Glastonbury.  New Musical Express (online version dated March 25, 2016) and others mentioned this, but it seems it's The Sun (online version dated March 25,  that started the smoke (or the fire?).

44 years ago today (25th) and tomorrow (26th), the Bee Gees played at Osaka Festival Hall.
Although this very first Japanese tour of the Bee Gees garnered quite a bit of press coverage, all or almost all of the photos featured in magazines and record sleeves were from the two Tokyo concerts or their Tokyo press conference.  So this  newspaper clipping from local Osaka edition was a rare find.
