Barry Gibb cancels duet with Chris Martin at Glastonbury?

Rumors have been flying with speculation  about Barry possibly joining Coldplay at Glastonbury's center stage on June 26th.  Now the British press reported that
Barry's appearance has been cancelled...

The last time we heard from Barry's management about the issue, nothing had been confirmed.  Still, there is a general anticipation for a surprise appearance among the fan community, but now The Sun (online version dated June 15, 2016) et al. reported that Barry was forced to pull out of it due to family illness.

The original soundtrack recordings of the film "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" featuring Bee Gees and Peter Frampton will be reissued on SHM-CD by Universal Music Japan on June 29, 2016

According to the Universal Music Japan's website, this two-disc set (UICY-77763-4) , priced 3,309 yen including tax, is part of the "Friends of the Beatles" project which commemorates the one and only visit of the Beatles to Japan that took place in June 1966.

Here's a mesmerizing approach to photorgaph the statues at the Bee Gees Way in Redcliffe of which Barry unveiled the Stage II last September.

Taiwanese film "First of May" will be released in Japan later this month

"First of May" (2015 film) trailer

The best known cinematic association of "First of May" is with the famous cemetery scene from the 1971 film "Melody."  More than 40 years later, the song has inspired yet another tender love story, a Taiwanese romance film which is aptly called "First of May."
