These archive pictures of Robin Gibb that appeared in a Japanese magazine in autumn 1973 show interiors of Robin's Surrey home he shared with his first wife Molly and one-year-old son Spencer at that time.
The picture on the lower left shows his dog Hedgehog on a leather couch in the living room. You can also see a black & white picture of their wedding beside the fireplace.
It's a two-page article entitled "Robin Gibb at home: Modern design and antique furniture!"
Robin plays the guitar and piano and sings lead for his group Bee Gees. Surrounded by trees and grass, his house stands in a quiet neighborhood of Surrey, some 50 km away from London. His wife Molly has chosen the furniture and set the overall tone for their home. Everything is in order and the house has a feel of a stately five-star hotel. Antique furniture collected from around the world are in perfect harmony with the basically modern architecture.
The bedroom on the second floor has built-in varnished closets.
A round purple bath tub is also on the second floor.
In the kitchen: electric heater is incorporated at the side of the table.
There is a portrait of Sir Winston Churchill on the wall.
Antique vases and plates are displayed in the white living room downstairs.
The house also appears in the promotional video for "Lonely Days."
The yard was also featured in a British commercial for dog food because it was "so British."
